Conference Paper Submission

When preparing your full paper for submission to Wake 2023, please adhere to the following guidelines:
• Papers must be between 5 and 10 pages in length.
• Papers must be submitted online via the Morressier system no later than the closing date.
• A revised version of the paper, addressing all reviewers’ comments, must be submitted online via the Morressier system no later than the closing date.
• No paper – no podium: an author will not be scheduled to make an oral or a poster presentation if the full paper has not been submitted and revised based on the reviewers’ comments within the deadlines.
• Copyright: IOP Conference Series operates a publishing licence, under which authors retain copyright of their papers and they no longer need to sign and submit copyright assignment forms. Any author must agree to the terms of the licence and, by submitting a paper for publication, it is assumed all authors of the paper agree, in full, to the terms of the licence. The licence terms and conditions are available online at here.
Formatting guidelines:IOP Conference Series uses author-supplied PDFs for all online and print publication. Authors are asked to prepare their papers using Microsoft Word or LaTeX, according to the journal guidelines and templates, and then convert these files to PDF. Full instructions on preparing your paper, along with templates, can be found here when submission is open.
• It is important to ensure that when you submit your paper, it is in its final form ready for publication, and has been thoroughly proofread. IOP does not copyedit papers and will not send out author proofs prior to publication. Please note: post-publication changes are not usually permitted, unless there are exceptional circumstances, so please ensure your paper has been checked for errors.

All papers submitted MUST use the templates and procedures presented. Failure to use the template and follow the procedures outlined will result in your paper being rejected for review and publication.

At least one of the authors on the paper must attend the conference for your paper to be published.

Travel

As the conference is on an island, the means of getting there are limited to two primary options, airplane or ferry.

Ferry

The ferry can be reached by taking a bus or a train from Stockholm's central station to the Nynäshamn port. Tickets for the bus can be booked in combination with the tickets for the ferry here. A train ticket can be booked here. The bus/ferry combination will take approximately 5 hours total, with the ferry taking three and a half hours and the bus taking about an hour. Taking the train can add up to an hour of waiting depending on how it is booked and when you arrive. Once you arrive at the port in Visby it is a short walk to Campus Gotland and the above noted hotels.

Flights

Flights to the Gotland airport primarily depart from the Bromma airport in Stockholm and the Arlanda airport. If you are flying internationally, you will likely prefer to book your flight from the Arlanda airport. The flights take less than an hour.

Taxi

You can book a taxi from the airport by calling +46498-200 200 or by visiting their website.

If you feel you need a bit of a walk, the airport is only located a few kilometers (4-5 km) from Visby and Campus Gotland. The walking paths between the airport and town are paved and well maintained.
